What I Want To Do When I Grow Up

I used to want to make movies. Then I saw Get Smart and I wanted to be a spy, as you know from the Title of the blog. Like a spy that runs around, looking around corners, with gadgets and protecting the country's secrets. Like in the movies.

Then I decided I didn't want to get blown up or die or anything, so I decided that I would do hacking or something.

I wanted to that for the longest amount of time. Like sitting behind a computer all day, scanning emails being sent

Of course I wanted to do all of that with "Australia's version of the CIA", because I had no idea what it was called. Then I discovered it was called ASIS/ASIO..

I came home from Guides one night and Criminal Minds was on. It quickly became my favourite crime show. And because it takes me forever to learn TV character's names, I kept saying "I want to be like the fat 'chick' on Criminal Minds when I grow up!" because what Garcia does (looking at databases for connections and stuff) was sort of what I wanted to do. That was like, last month.

And as I watched the actual profilers busting into houses and looking around corners checking if a house was clear, guns in hand.

I think I want to be a profiiler. It looks like more fun than Garcia's job, and you get to travel (according to the show. If you don't know, a profiler tries to get information about the person past tp find out why they might have done it, I think.I'm not very good at explaining things :P

Also, I want to have a job that makes me travel.

And I don't think that a profiler really counts as a spy.

What do you want to be when you get a proper job?



P.S. I'm not going to post for the next 6 days (not that that it would matter, I normally don't post that often anyway, so you wouldn't notice) or so because we're going down south again. So BYE!

I Think I'm Going to Redo My End of 2010 Post

Just re-reading it, my end of 2010 post was pretty bad. So I'm going to do it again.

2010 has been a big year. it has been filled with ups and downs and lefts and rights. Also obsessions.

I got even more into Harry Potter and realised just how epic it is. For me, Harry Potter isn't just an obsession. It has taught me so much. Too much to mention here.

Another big obsession was Glee. I occasionally watched it when it was on nights other than Thursday (I had Guides and it was on on a Thursday in Australia), but I was never really able to get into it. Then when it came off hiatus in the middle of season 1, I decided to watch every episode online. There are still 1 or 2 episodes I haven't seen from the 1st part of season 1, but I'm getting there. Glee has also taught me quite a bit, especially about just being who you are. Right now, I'm on the computer in the living room, and I keep glancing over at the TV and Mercedes just started sing 'Beautiful'.

 

And I can't forget Team Starkid. The biggest obsession of the year for me. I knew what it was and everything, and that they made a Harry Potter Parody, but I just never got around to watching it. I watched it sometime in June, just before the sequel came out. I enjoyed it and all, but I never really got into it either. Then it was announced that Darren Criss, the guy who played Harry, was going to be on Glee. So I decided to watch the musical again, and this time, I really enjoyed it.

Okay. So now, you're probably getting bored of what I'm obsessing over.

At the beginning of the year, I entered year 7; my last year of primary school. It was a definitely a year to remember. Then I graduated in earlier in December. I know I will keep 1 or 2 friends really close, but the others, as nice as they were, I just don't think I'll stay friends with.

One thing I'm most proud of that I did this year is getting into the academic classes at the highschool I'm going to.

And I survived the needles year 7's need to get. I am terified of needles. But I like how they make your arm stiff!


I can't really remember much else that I've done this year.

I'm not normally one to set resolutions so I am going to make 2 resolutions and 1 dream.

Resolutions: 
-Stop chewing my nails
-Be nicer

Dreams
-Make some friends that will stay friends forever and who will be the best friends I've ever had.

The Show

The constant chattering. The fireworks. The showbags. The rides. These are just some of the things I love about the Royal Show.

Somethimes, I think the only reason I still do Guides is because I get free entry to the show.

Let me tell you, gettting up at 7.30 am on the school holidays to jump on a crowded train on a weekday is not fun. Especially when it's Peak Hour.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love showbags? Well, now I am. I LOVE  showbags. Last year, I kept checking the website every couple of days until September to see if the showbags had been posted yet. I even check The Sydney easter Show website and The Royal Melbourne Show websites so I can get a bit of an idea what will be in them.

This year, not so much excitement. Maybe it's because when I went on the site in February, or something like that, and it said "Showbags put up in September". So I stopped looking.

Anyway, back to the point. I got up at that un-godly hour of the morning, got ready and jumped on a train. It was crowded. Normally, all the Guides somehow get a seat. We transferred trains, to a different line, and that was even more crowded. Maybe because it was the Show Express Line.

We got there, skipped the ong line, and went showbag looking.

Skipping a lot, the showbag I wanted (Girlfriend) was all out, and so were all of my "back-up bags". So I didn't get a showbag this year :O!

Then we went to a stand where we had to stamp "passports" and and give out freebies. Pretty boring.

Then Mum and Dad picked me up and we went to where all of the rides were, where we went of this really cool ride where you sit on this incredibly uncomfortable cane and metal seat, and then you get spun around really fast. I go on this ride every year, and it's definitely my favourite.

Next I went on a ride called the Gee-Wizz where you sit in these cup things, and then go around the circle track really fast. I like how you have to hold your neck tight and still :P

The last ride I went on was the Super nova. This was the biggest, fastest ride of all (well that I was game enough to go on). You sit in a seat and then you get swung like a pendulum. It made me feel really sick. If it had stopped a couple of swngs earlier, it would have been okay though.

I took some pretty awesome photos with my phone, but I don't know how to put them on the computer  *grins sheepish grin*.

Last, we went to went to the fireworks display. The fireworks were AH-MA-ZING!




P.S. This time in 5 days, I'll be in Syndey!! EEEEEEEEE!

5 Little Randomz

1) Is it sad I can't remember every little detail from Harry Potter anymore? I think yes. I used to be obbsessed, and I stil am, I just havn't read the book for ages.

2) I started reading Twilight. It's pretty good so far, but I flipped ahead, and I still have 100 pages to go until she finds out he's a vampire. Talk about slow.

3) You can make me very excited by just showing me the Harry Potter trailer, or the TWTWB trailer. Is anyone else excited about Harry Potter 7, or is it just me? I'm even struggling to sleep, knowing that Tommorrow When the War Began is out and I havn't seen it yet. Have you seen it? Was the acting bearable?

4) I had already started looking at showbags for the Royal Show, even when it was a month away. I think I have decided what ones I want. Only we're saving for Sydney, so we might not even go. At least I'm sure to get in and go because the Guides do volunteer work and get free entry. SCORE!


5) I'm very good at neglecting blogs, as you have probably noticed from my lack of posts showing up on your dashboards.

This Week's Big Adventures

This week was a pretty good week. On Wednesday, we started making models of our dream home in Extension Class. Then on Thursday, we went to the museum to see an exhibit on Pompeii. Before we went, my class watched a video on Youtube about the volcano. I think that the exhibit was boring, and I didn't learn a thing. The 3-D Movie was okay, but I still learnt more from the video on Youtube.

Then yesterday, on Saturday, everyone celebrated 100 years of Girls Guides. This was defiantly the highlight of the week. Everyone, well the Girl Guides who wanted to in the cityhad been preparing for weeks. We had all received our new shirts that we had to wear, and were REALLY excited. When I say excited, I don't mean excited about what your having for dinner that night, or excited that you get to play dodge at school today. It was excited as in going on an overseas holiday, to meet your favourite singer and actor, and staying at a 5 star hotel all together. We were so excited that we couldn't sleep.

On Saturday, I got up at 6:40, which I think is the earliest I think I've ever gotten up at, then quickly got ready before my friend arrived at 6:50. We left at 7:00, the sun still rising. It felt like it was sunset. We met in a car park and went to check in. Wait. I havn't told you exactly what we're doing yet. Silly Me :P All the Guides in the district are having an Amazing Race (*Luv that show*) type game around the entire city. We are only allowed to use public transport/trains, and we have to travel around the city and answer question in a book we were given such as "How many camping stores can you see from  *********  Station?".

We were given a balloon, that we had too keep the whole day, and an egg, that we weren't allowed to crack. We left the check in place and hopped on the train to go and get our answers. There was also a scavenger hunt, and we had to get our photo with a clown. We easily completed that task (well most of us. You see, my other friend had a fear of clowns) and went on with the rest.

Before 9:45, we had already finished the questions on one whole trainline.

I think we spent about 2 hours on trains. But I don't mind, because I absolutley LOVE travelling on trains. I'm still not sick of them! On the train back to the check-in place, 3 other Guiding friends and I were playing around with the bluetooth on our iPods and phones.

I really enjoyed the day and had heaps of fun. I can't wait until the 200th aniversary :P
