I Should Do a Christmas Post...

...Except I have no idea what to say. I'm sure I'll start to get more excited tonight, when it gets dark and my brother insists on using a Santa tracker (according to the NORAD tracker, he's still at the North Pole, in the middle of the ocean) and we go out and look at Christmas lights.

Merry Christmas!

And I just want to say thanks for making me smile whenever you comment, and following and just making me incredibly happy.

I hope you all have a great day tomorrow, doing whatever you do on Christmas :) Happy Holidays!

A New Era of My Life + An Award.

Yesterday marked a new era in my life. I'm 13. I'm a teenager. It's great, because I don't feel as young in the blogosphere anymore :P

Anyway, because it's my last year in primary school I just had to have a party. And not to brag or anything, but my party organising skills are quite good! (have I ever mentioned my Harry Potter party when I turned 11? But that's another story...) After school, I went down to the park and started setting up for my party, because our house is a bit of a mess at the moment. It was really windy.

I invited 1 friend from out of school, 6 girls from my class and 4 boys. I don't really feel like typing right now, so this is gonna be short. Anyway,my sister and my dad headed down about 10 minutes before us to hide everything for the treasure hunt, and by the time Mum and I got there, my best friend was there already :P

We were gonna have a water fight, but it got too cold. We played tug-a-war and pass the parcel. Pass the parcel was by far the best game of the night. It was a bit sad though, because I couldn't play my favourite Starkid songs because they are considered, well, not cool, and no one likes them (those friends that don't have no taste... :P). It was wrapped in newspaper, but with the occasional coloured layer which you could throw instead of pass. One of the boys got all of the Smiggle pig rubbers I put in though. It was funny.

I know most of you don't want to here about what I got, but some of you might, so I got an iTunes voucher, some money, some more Smiggle stuff (including a pig rubber...!) some notebooks and pens, a lava lamp, this really pretty black and white polka dot top, Dymocks vouchers, some Diva bangles and earrings (which just gives me an excuse to get my ears pierced) and this really pretty rose ring.

I really enjoyed my party. Thanks Mum! (I might add pictures soon)

I got back from the party, checked my email, and found a new comment from the lovely Rose @ people tell me saying that she's awarded me on her blog :D Thanks Rose!

She says that she thinks that themain idea of the award is to pass it onto other bloggers, so I pass it onto
Random Rawr (even if she already has it)
Jessica Nicole
Hayhay
beacuse you all have a lovely blog, and your comments are what keep me going. But that doesn't mean that just these guysare the only ones who deserve it. If you follow, you deserve it too, so I award you too! So I'm basically rewarding all of my followers!

P.S. Just thought I'd mention that my profile pic is at Bondi Beach; not just any old beach!

Didn't Know I Could Do That

A couple of weeks ago, I came home and checked my email and saw and email saying that I was doing the 4 km walk , which was a part of a big marathon that takes place each year.

At first, I was annoyed, because I really didn't want to do it. At all. But then I warmed up to the idea and decided I was going to come first out of everybody. That or refuse to even cross the start line and be my normal stubborn self.

In the leading up days, I started to decide that there was no way at all that I would come first out of everybody, so I decided to try and come first out of every one in the school team.

We got there and wandered on to the very crowded oval, where the race was going to start. It was very
crowded, as I said before.

After waiting a while, the starting gun went. It took us about 5 minutes to get from where we were standing. We finally got past the start line and around the oval, before continuing onto the road. AT first I walked with my Mum and Aunty but then decided that they were going too slow so I started to walk with Dad, but he was also going too slow so I guess I just started to walk a little faster.

Before I knew it, I was at the drink station, also known as the 1km mark, and way ahead. I was hoping to see my fellow Guides there, but there was no sign.

Did I mention that I've never ran 4 km before?

There was a big hill that hurt my legs, but when I got to the top, I 1. Could see the water, and 2. Knew the rest was mostly downhill.

I rounded the last corner and started full out running. I had been running most of the way, but also walking quite a bit.

Looking Begind my shoulder, it looked something like this. * Not My Picture ~ Edited by Me ~ Original Photo

I pased the finish line, walked a bit and stopped to talk to my "friend" who is in year 3 while we waited for our slow parents to get to the finish line. After they finally got there, we went and collected our free bottles of Powerade and collected out awesome medals that were very generic.

My brother went to get a bottle, but the guy handed him a whole tray full. So now I have 1 and a half bottle sitting in the fride waiting to be drunk.

Now for the results. I came 14th from the school team and 2604th from the 7400 people that did the 4kn walk. I'm sorta sad about coming 14th though, because I passed heaps of people from school. Most of the way, I was thinking that I was going to come first from the school team beacuse I ran most of the way. I get to the finish line and saw that my "friend" had beaten me. I was okay with that beacuse that meant I came 2nd, but then she said she saw some other people pass from  school before me.

Checking the results today, I feel stupid.

I did it in 34 minutes and 13 seconds. I didn't know I could do that.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Forgetting about that though, I'm incredibly excited becuse in 37 days...

Well, I can't say right now, but I will soon. I'm so super duper excited.

Photos from My Holiday (a.k.a. My Trip)

I'm back! Well actually, I was back late Tuesday night. Wanna see some photos from my trip? I want to post photos because otherwise this will end up as a long boring post like some others. ANd photos are more interesting.

**NOTE: I did NOT take all of these photos myself. Mum took some, Dad took some and my brothers and sisters probably took some.**

So we set out driving on a Thursday. I wanted to leave at 5 in the  morning, except we still had to pack and Mum likes to come home to a tidy house.

On the way, we drove past a wind farm.

*Taken  by Dad*

We stopped at a town on the way and stayed there on Thursday and Friday night. On Friday morning, we had breakfast at a cafe with some friends. I had some average pancakes with delicious blueberries and yummy sauce.

Later that day, we went rock walking at a place where ther was lots of rocks.
This is my favourite photo from the whole trip. I like the colours. Don't you think it looks a bit like a layer cake that has collapsed?
*Both taken by Dad*

The next day (Saturday) we left that beautiful town and drove. And drove. And drove. Until 6 at night when we arrived at our final destination.
Driving *not sure who took this*
We did lots of fishing at the back of the reef, and almost as much snorkeling. I saw 2 stingrays {which I'm absolutely terrified of}. Don't you hate it when you're snorkel ling in a big group, and someone kicks you in the face? We caught a MASSIVE mackerel while trolling  in our boat. And then a shark swam up behind it and stardted chasing it then bit half off. Evil Shark. It still fed all of us + some friends though.

Some other photos.

Termite Mounds while driving. Mum took that photo. The face isn't edited in... *Mum's photo*
An emu just next to where we were staying. *A sibling's photo*.
The lighthouse just behind where we were staying. *My Photo*
*Not sure who took this*
*My photo*
*My Photo**I think*
*My Photo*
*Mum's or brother's photo*
Whales. We saw them almost every day. I think that photo is zoomed. *Not sure who took this*
5 Things that I Did/Saw That I Have Never Seen/Done Before
  1.  Passed the Tropic of Capricorn
  2. Saw termite mounds in person
  3. Snorkelled the Ningaloo Reef
  4. Seen a shark/stingray/manta ray that's not in captivity.
  5. Gone the furtherest north I've ever been.
I'm sure there's more but I can't think of any right now.
My siblings had a rest day on Wednesday, but I - Being the nerd I am - went to school. I was nervous, as if I was starting a new school.

What do you think of the photos? Let me know.

P.S. I'm keeping my name as Frangipani the Fish (Thanks Braceface for your input :D) and do you like how I re-did the blog? Not design or anything.

Goodbye...

... for now. Until the 27th, I probably won't be able post. Or have internet (Oh! The horrors), and even if I do I won't be posting unless I have something major to tell you. I'll try to take some photos and post them when I get back.

So, Ciao for now!

P.S. This Blogger names not doing it for me. I'm gonna try to think of a name while I'm gone.

Why Spain Will Win the World Cup... and Other Assorted Paragrpahs

...because Paul the Octopus said they would, and Paul's always right because hes an octopus. So I'm going for Spain so I can rub it in every ones face *if I want* (not that I would) when Spain wins.

Now onto some other nonsense I want to clear up...

I really couldn't care less for AFL, except I *do* go two teams. (It's always been true). Lets call the teams from my state team #1 and team #2. I go for #1 because my sister goes for #2. I support two teams. #2 and whatever team #1 is playing. I just had to add that random snippet from my mind.

Also, have any good songs or movies? I need at least 2 more hours of songs or movies on my iPod for this "holiday" next week that's a 14 hour drive. (Our friend, who lives about 3 1/2 hours south of us would get there before us if we both left at the same time). I don't like long drives. You've probably realised that I don't really want to go. I don't because I miss out on 1 and a half weeks of school. I ALWAYS miss the first session of this dancing course everyone does. Normally I hate it, but the year 7's always get the best song. This year, that means me. Also I have photos to check out from our class party that have yet to be downloaded. Maybe I can get my friend to email them to me.

That reminds me. Has anyone downloaded iOS 4 yet? (for all the iPod touches and iPhones out there) It's awesome. Much better than the last operating system. You can put your apps in folders. Get this... I had 8 pages of apps, and I narrowed it down to 3. It's amazing!

Now only 2 more paragraphs I wanna write.

Today, we went to this electronics store to "stock take" the electronics we would need for our trip. a.k.a. replacing headphones that always go missing. You know how there's always displays of the stuff? Well my sister and I found two iPads that were demos. Now I'm addicted. I <3 the keyboard so much. But it's sort of clunky.  Next to the iPads, there was a Mac (not sure what type) and the screen was like, as big as my TV. There were some TVs across the aisle and the Computer screen was even bigger than them. ANd it had good sound because iTunes was open and I clicked on the Owl City folder and I blasted it throughout the store. *wopps :P* Then we found the massage chairs on demo and the Wii that was also a demo.

Last weekend there was nothing on, so I switched it onto Oprah, where the Twilight stars were being interveiwed. I went along with it and watched it, even though I hate Twilight as much as it's possible. Then my sister did the unthinkable. She put the Bali copy of Twilight we had on. I protested but she wouldn't budge. Now I'm scared I'm turning into a Twi-Hard, because I loved it and now I want to rent New Moon. Please NO NO NO. I get Google Alerts for Harry Potter and it came up with an article titled something like Hermione vs Bella. It's very interesting.

If you have read everything I have said, I applaud you. Well done.Thankyou. Sorry for the long post.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I like: Hannah Montana season 4, episode 2. Yes, call me a baby. I don't care. My army of teddy bears and Playschool toys will come and get you.
I feel: hyped up. I don't know what over though.
I can't stop playing/listening to: Airplanes by BoB.
I want to tell you: I really want at least one Australian follower. Pretty Please? *Puppy Face*

P.S. When I started this post, I was all hyped up, now I'm tired an not hyped up.

If I Hear It One More Time...

I think I might scream. My sister is doing Stairway to Heaven for her piano recital, and has just been playing it for about 20 minutes, and as loud as the iPod speakers will go.

Your probably bored reading that though, so now I will tell you about something equally boring.

Today, we had a relief teacher, so we got to play basket ball in the afternoon. I have actually come to like basket ball quite a bit, after playing it every Saturday after netball. So I obviously played, excited to show my very limited skills off. Excpet about 5 minutes into the game,  I was wrestling the ball from my best friend, and I fell over and rolled my ankle. So sad, I wanted to play badly, and you probably wanted to read something actually interesting, so BYEE :)

Currently obsessing over: stardoll.com
Can't stop playing: Goodbye Earl by The Dixie Chicks. The bit that goes  Right away Mary Anne flew in from Atalnta, On a red eye midnight flight, She held Wanda's hand as they worked out a plan,And it didn't take long to decided, That Earl had to die makes me cry :(

Wants to tell you: to try not to roll your ankle when you play a sport you like.

P.S. Like the new design?
